Hi. I’m Mary Beth.
I’m A MOm, A Wife, Career Coach and a fierce advocate for supporting parents in the workplace.
At 22 I had dreams of reaching the c-suite and spent over 10 years in corporate finance, successfully navigating my way to an SVP at a top fortune 100 firm.
Yet, after the birth of my first daughter I struggled.
I struggled to truly know my new identity as working mom. I struggled with the guilt that felt like it was coming at all sides, for work, as a mom, as a partner.
I struggled to find a community of moms who felt the same way I did. Moms who understood that while my priorities had shifted - significantly. Of course my baby was the most important thing to the world to me, but I also had to work. And (gasp!) I wanted to work. I wasn’t okay with just sitting back on my own aspirations and ambitions to be a leader. My new philosophy was simply - If I was going to be away from my baby, it better be worth it.
So I set out on a quest to make it better. I negotiated for more flexibility at work. I narrowed my own pay gap compared to my male peers. I set boundaries and expectations at work.
I changed my mindset.
I asked for help.
My husband and I had the real conversations about what 50/50 parenting meant and how that directly related to our career goals. We outsourced, changed our childcare, we compromised.
AND THINGS CHANGED. I FELT BETTER. I FELT IN CONTROL. I FELT LIKE ONCE AGAIN, IT WAS POSSIBLE.
I didn’t Have “it” ALL. BUT I WAS CLOSER TO HAVING “MY” ALL.
But there was still that one thing lacking. There was a pivotal moment where I remember looking around me at work and realizing that no one on core team was dealing with these same challenges. They were all men. And the women I worked with had children that were much older. Often their advice was simply that it just takes time to adjust. Or worse, they had been home when their children were little and simply offered up, “I don’t know how you are doing it.”
That is reason I shifted my own career, starting working with hundreds of moms to support them through the transition to “working mom” and most importantly, why I created the M-Suite (The C-Suite for Moms!). The M-Suite is here to provide expecting and new moms with support to create a life that works for you, your baby, your family and your professional goals.

It’s easy to slip into traditional gender roles (especially when Dad goes back to work first), but your career isn’t secondary and you do not have to be the ‘default’ parent.

Week 6 - Working With Your Caregiver
Whether your child is at daycare, with a nanny or a family member, you are managing another employee and it’s important to ensure your relationships with your childcare provider is positive.
Manage expectations, contracts, and handling conflicts quickly and effectively.
Set up and utilizing back up care.
Find care and time for date nights!
Trust and feel good about your childcare, both your relationship with your careprovider and, of course, your child’s relationship with your careprovider.
Week 7 - Working Mom Guilt & Self Care
Moms today are expected to parent like we don’t have a job and work like we don’t have children, causing a constant feeling a failure.
Mommy wars feel constant and making a different decision than your best friend can make you question your decisions.
Move past the guilt, feel good about your choices and shut down the naysayers.
Maintain and grow relationships with friends who are taking a different path.

How do I know this is right for me?
This program is designed for new (and newish!) mamas who are career-minded. You are looking to avoid burnout and reduce the amount of time you feel overwhelmed but you are also committed to being BOTH a good mom and great at your job! One of the most unique and best part of this program is the connections you will make with other professional women who are also new moms. That is something you will have for a lifetime!
When should I do this program? While pregnant? On leave? Back to work?
Right now! If you are feeling overwhelmed with work and your role as a mother, this program is right for you. Many moms find that it’s the most useful during the last few months of pregnancy through the first year of babies life. But if you just found us and your baby is older than a year, you are more than welcome to join!
I already did “mommy and me”, is this the same?
We love “mommy and me / parent and me” programs! They can be a great way to connect with moms in your neighborhood, however there are three important things that are unique to the M-Suite.
1) Other working mamas! Too many times we’ve worked with moms who end up feeling even more guilt and struggle because all the moms in their group are staying home and they end up feeling more isolated. This is all about building a community with other career minded mamas!
2) You don’t have to get anywhere! Many mommy and me programs are held midday and even the working moms groups are often at 5pm. This was one of Mary Beth’s biggest personal challenge’s when she was a new mom! Even with a flexible schedule at work, making a 5pm class was nearly impossible! Our cohorts meet virtually so you can join from home, your office, even a coffee shop!
3) This is about YOU and your WORK life! Mommy and me classes can provide incredible resources, but mainly focuses on baby. This program is designed to focus on you, the struggles you face as a working mom and ways to be successful at work as a parent. It was developed by Mary Beth, career coach, a working mom herself, and someone who has navigated the corporate environment and entrepreneurship as a working mom.

Will I have time?
I know, I know, between baby and work, time for yourself is typically the last thing on your mind. We make it as easy as possible. The group sessions are held virtually (video chat!) and you’ll have the ability to choose from two different times each week. Join which ever call makes the most sense given your schedule that week! And don’t worry we also record them so you can listen in later. Join from work, from home, with baby or without. Whatever works best for you!
This isn’t my first baby, is it still for me?
With each baby, it feels like the stakes get higher and the logistics just get more difficult! We are working to develop cohorts specifically for 2nd and 3rd time moms, but in the meantime you are more than welcome to join a current cohort! That’s an incredible step mama! We love supporting moms as they are working towards re-entering the workforce. We know that the job hunt often feels like a job itself and we want to be there helping you along the way.
